Worship Service, Wednesday, February 14, 2024
We begin the season of Lent, a 40 day season leading to Easter. It's a time of preparation, of journeying with Jesus, and celebrating the resurrection. We start with Ash Wednesday, a time to consider our own limitations and need for God. In this service, those in-person will have the sign of the cross placed on their forehead using ash.
For those at home, during the imposition of ashes, you will be invited to write a place in your life where you need "tuning" to be in line with God. Once written, you may safely burn the paper in a fireproof bowl as a way of offering it God.
The service is planned to start at 6:45pm, but may start a few minutes late depending on the meal happening prior to it at the church.
