Shepherd of the Hill has a long, rich history with Scouting. Troop 274 has been a part of the congregation for over 50 years!
We are proud to charter these scouts and give them a space to learn new skills, make great friends, and participate in new adventures!

Cub Scout Pack 274
We are a co-ed unit that supports K-6th grade.
The pack meets every Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the Christian Education wing. Currently the age groups are split for every other week.
We have a committee/parent meeting the first Thursday of each month and a pack meeting (all ages) on the third Thursday of each month.

The Boy Scouts, ages 11-17, meet year-round on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.

BSA Troop 274G
This Troop is for Female Scouts, ages 11-17. They meet in the church's Fellowship Hall on Wednesday nights starting at 6:30 p.m.
Troop 274G takes a lot of pride by standing tall as a female troop. We have two strong female leaders that have grown our troop from 5 to 13 scouts. On February 1st, 2019, BSA welcomed in females to participate in Scouting just like the young men. There is no difference or change to any of the requirements. Our female scouts have stood by traveling along the Scouting Trail and keeping to the Scout Oath and Law.

Venturing Crew 274
Crew 274 typically meets twice a month.
Venturing is an inclusive program through the Scouting America for males and females aged 14-20 (or 13 and completed the 8th grade).
Do you love exploring your passions, making new friends, and discovering the world? Are you always looking for an adventure, rappelling a cliff, perfecting your shot, designing a robot, kayaking into the sunset, exploring your faith, or volunteering at an animal shelter. The choice is yours! Each activity provides an opportunity to shine and learn more about yourself and the world around you.
Venturing is youth-led and youth-inspired.
You’ll acquire life skills and gain experiences that will prove to be valuable regardless of where your future takes you, all while having a blast: leadership, event-planning, organization, communication, responsibility – the list goes on!
- 1st Thursday at Shepherd of the Hill Presbyterian Church, 8401 112th St E, Puyallup, WA 98373 or the first Sunday of the Month via zoom.
